Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By accessing, registering, or using Pledge4Peace.org (the “Platform”), you agree to be legally bound by this agreement, which constitutes a binding contract between you and Cool Deeds Inc.
Pledge4Peace operates strictly as a neutral, third-party technology facilitator providing digital infrastructure for encrypted workplace reviews, private dispute mediation, and global campaign advocacy.
To use Pledge4Peace, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. If you are registering on behalf of a Business or Organization, you warrant that you have the legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
For businesses and organizations
3.1 Explicit Manifestation of Assent: The Business ("Employer," "Organization") explicitly agrees to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions upon registering for an account, paying subscription fees, or by affirmatively clicking "I Agree" (or a substantially similar button/checkbox) when prompted before unlocking their first review or creating an account. The Business acknowledges that they cannot view, access, or respond to any submitted review without first affirmatively accepting this Agreement.
3.2 The Mutual Non-Retaliation Contract: Upon completing the explicit assent described in Section 3.1, the Business enters into a legally binding covenant of non-retaliation. The Business agrees it will not terminate, demote, harass, penalize, or take adverse legal or financial action against any employee, customer, supplier, investor, or third party for submitting a review or participating in mediation through Pledge4Peace.
3.3 Third-Party Beneficiary Rights: The Business expressly acknowledges and agrees that Reviewers (including employees, contractors, suppliers, and customers) are intended third-party beneficiaries of the Non-Retaliation Contract and Confidentiality covenants in this Section. Reviewers possess independent legal standing to enforce these covenants directly against the Business in a court of competent jurisdiction.
3.4 Mediation Participation and Mutual Respect: The Business agrees to participate constructively and in good faith during the mediation process. The primary objective of this Platform is to provide a peaceful, structured method for conflict resolution. This process empowers both the Organization and the Reviewer to address grievances cooperatively, fostering restorative solutions without resorting to public disparagement, retaliatory legal threats, or unnecessary damage to either party's reputation.
3.5 The Confidential Mediation & Settlement Privilege: All communications, documents, and offers exchanged within the mediation process constitute confidential compromise negotiations pursuant to Federal Rule of Evidence 408, state counterparts, and where applicable, the Uniform Mediation Act (UMA). They are strictly privileged and may not be used in external legal proceedings, public relations campaigns, or internal HR disciplinary actions against the Reviewer.
3.6 Earning and Revocation of the Peace Seal: The Peace Seal is a dynamic certification. Pledge4Peace reserves the right to revoke, downgrade, or suspend a Business's Peace Seal status immediately (or ban an uncertified business from the platform) if the Business violates the Non-Retaliation Contract, fails to participate in mediation in good faith, or engages in verifiable unethical conduct.
For reviewers
This section applies to all individuals submitting a review, explicitly including Employees, Customers, Investors, Suppliers, and Third-Party Partners.
Anonymity and Platform Protections: Pledge4Peace provides a technologically secure, encrypted platform designed to protect Reviewer identity. However, Reviewers acknowledge that total anonymity cannot be guaranteed in the event of a valid, lawful subpoena issued by a US court of competent jurisdiction.
Truthfulness and Good Faith: By submitting a review, you legally certify that your claims are made in good faith, represent your genuine experience, and are not submitted for the purpose of malicious harassment, corporate espionage, defamation, or extortion. Knowingly submitting false or fabricated claims voids your protections under the Non-Retaliation Contract.
Mediation Participation: Reviewers agree to participate constructively and in good faith during the mediation process. The primary objective of this Platform is to provide a peaceful, structured method for conflict resolution, fostering mutual understanding and restorative solutions without resorting to public disparagement, online attacks, or unnecessary damage to either party's reputation.
Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) Compliance: While communications within the mediation process are strictly confidential, nothing in these Terms restricts a Reviewer’s legal right as a consumer under the CRFA (15 U.S.C. § 45b) to publish truthful, non-confidential, non-defamatory reviews or comments regarding their experience following the conclusion of the mediation window.
Technological Limitations and Assumption of Risk: While Cool Deeds Inc. utilizes robust encryption to protect Reviewer identity, no digital system is entirely immune to data breaches, software bugs, or inadvertent disclosure. By using the Platform, you acknowledge these inherent technological risks. You agree that you are submitting your review voluntarily and assume the risk of accidental exposure of your identity.
For pledgees
(Applies to any party that votes, pledges, adds solutions, or participates in campaigns)
Citizen Mandates as Global Mediation: When a Pledgee casts a vote or issues a "citizen mandate," they acknowledge that this feature acts as a form of collective mediation and advocacy between global citizens and the relevant parties capable of applying resolutions.
No Guarantee of Resolution: While Pledge4Peace provides the technological infrastructure to aggregate these mandates and advocate for peace, we cannot guarantee that the relevant parties will come to a mutual agreement, that the global conflicts will be successfully resolved, or that the specific resolutions requested will ultimately be implemented.
Financial Pledges & Intermediary Compliance: Any financial pledges made through the platform are routed to vetted third-party NGOs and nonprofits via licensed, registered merchant payment gateways or authorized fiscal sponsors. Pledge4Peace acts strictly as a technological pass-through; it does not hold charitable funds in trust, nor does it act as a regulated commercial fundraiser. Donations are strictly non-refundable once processed.
Tax Disclaimers: Pledge4Peace is not a certified tax professional. Pledgees are responsible for determining the tax deductibility of their contributions based on the specific 501(c)(3) status of the receiving beneficiary organization.
For nonprofits and beneficiaries
(Applies to Nonprofits, NGOs, and any beneficiary of our campaigns)
Strict Adherence to Intended Purpose: By accepting designation as a Beneficiary, the Organization legally binds itself to use 100% of all disbursed funds (minus standard third-party processing fees) exclusively for the specific initiatives, programs, and objectives detailed in their original campaign application. Funds may not be redirected to general administrative overhead or alternative causes without explicit, prior written consent from Pledge4Peace.
Good Faith and Peaceful Execution: The Beneficiary agrees to deploy all resources in absolute good faith to achieve ethical, restorative, and peaceful results. Beneficiaries are strictly prohibited from utilizing funds in any manner that exacerbates conflict, supports armed factions, or violates the core peacemaking ethos of the Platform.
Compliance with US and International Law: Beneficiaries must operate in rigorous compliance with all applicable legal frameworks governing international aid, charitable distributions, and anti-corruption. This includes the USA PATRIOT Act, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), sanctions enforced by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), International Humanitarian Law, and the UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC).
Transparency, Auditing, and Recovering Provisions: Beneficiaries must provide periodic, verifiable transparency reports demonstrating the exact allocation and impact of campaign funds. If Pledge4Peace determines that funds have been misappropriated, used unethically, or diverted, the Platform reserves the right to immediately terminate the Beneficiary's account, initiate legal proceedings to "clawback" (recover) the misused funds, and report the Organization to relevant US and international regulatory authorities.
You agree to use Pledge4Peace in accordance with all applicable laws. You must not: use the site for any unlawful activities; bypass our security measures; scrape or harvest data; or post malicious, illegal, or heavily copyrighted third-party material without authorization.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pledge4Peace, its directors, employees, mediators, or affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the site, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, employment status, or reputational damage.

In no event shall the aggregate liability of Cool Deeds Inc. exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).
All Users (Businesses, Reviewers, Pledgees, and Beneficiaries) agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pledge4Peace and its affiliates from any claims, damages, lawsuits, liabilities, and expenses arising from the User's violation of these Terms, their breach of the Mutual Non-Retaliation Contract, or any content they submit.
Platform Content: All original content created by Pledge4Peace (including text, graphics, logos, the Peace Seal trademark, and software) is the property of Cool Deeds Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Fair Use for Educational and Peacemaking Purposes: Under 17 U.S. Code § 107 (The Fair Use Doctrine), any third-party copyrighted material displayed on the Platform is utilized strictly for non-profit educational purposes, news reporting, commentary, criticism, and the facilitation of peaceful conflict resolution. Pledge4Peace explicitly does not commercialize, sell, or maliciously misuse third-party intellectual property.
DMCA Safe Harbor and Copyright Takedowns: In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Cool Deeds Inc. operates under the safe harbor provisions for online service providers. If you are a copyright owner and believe your work has been uploaded or utilized on our platform in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a formal takedown notice complying with the statutory requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated Copyright Agent registered with the US Copyright Office at info@pledge4peace.org.
Pledge4Peace is driven by a profound mission but operates with limited resources, relying heavily on volunteers, interns, limited professionals, and automated technological tools.

Pledge4Peace reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the site at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these terms.
13.1 Mandatory Informal Dispute Resolution: Before initiating any arbitration or legal proceeding, you and Pledge4Peace agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally. The initiating party must send a written "Notice of Dispute" to the other party detailing the nature of the claim, the specific facts, and the requested relief. You must send this notice to info@pledge4peace.org. Following receipt of the Notice, both parties agree to participate in a good-faith negotiation (via email, phone, or video conference) for a period of sixty (60) days. Neither party may initiate arbitration until this 60-day informal resolution period has expired.
13.2 Binding Arbitration: If the dispute remains unresolved after the 60-day informal period, it shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer or Commercial Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration shall take place virtually by mutual agreement, or in New Jersey.
13.3 Class Action Waiver: You agree that any proceeding will be conducted solely on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
13.4 Mass Arbitration: In the event that 25 or more similar demands for arbitration are filed against Pledge4Peace by or with the assistance of the same law firm or coordinated counsel, the AAA shall administer the mass filing in "batches" of 50 demands per batch to increase efficiency and resolve the claims. The AAA shall not assess filing or administrative fees for subsequent batches until the active batch has been resolved. You agree to this batching process and understand that it may delay the resolution of your individual claim.
13.5 Exceptions: Either party retains the right to seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent intellectual property infringement, data breaches, or trade secret misappropriation without participating in the informal resolution process.
Pledge4Peace may update these terms and conditions at any time. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
